What are lessons like?
We specialize in riding and showing in the Jumper discipline, but we also teach the Hunters, Equitation and some Dressage. We emphasize a strong background on the flat for all levels.
- All ages and levels are accepted! Some lessons are available on our horses, but schoolhorses are limited. No lessons on our horses are currently available :(. Check back soon!
- You can trailer in to Misty Step or we can meet on your farm, provided it's in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area.
- More advanced riders will focus on training the horse and bettering communication to reach your performance goals.
- Ground lessons, and/or lessons specifically focused on the basics of using reinforcement training are also available.
- Private lessons are 70$, semi-private lessons (2+ people) are 55$/person. Packages of multiple lessons are available for a discount.
